ELMONT, NY- At the start of the 2021 legislative session in January, Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages invited residents of the 22nd Assembly District to participate in an annual legislative survey. After numerous submissions through the mail and the online response form, all of the responses have been accounted for and transcribed to be shared back with the general community. These results highlight the issues most critical to the survey participants.
A summary of the final results shows that an overwhelming majority of the community supported raising taxes on the wealthy to fund vital services as a state recovers from the pandemic. For the full results of the survey, please view the following link: https://nyassembly.gov/mem/Michaelle-C-Solages/story/96753.
“As a legislator, my number one goal is to reflect the wishes of the community at large, and I am always eager for the opportunity to survey constituents on their legislative priorities,” said Assemblymember Solages. “Equipped with this information, I will share this with my colleagues in government and work to ensure that these policy initiatives are prioritized.”
Please note that the survey response period was from January 2021 through March 2021. The survey covered many issues that the New York State Assembly is considering during the 2021 legislative session. Assemblywoman Solages thanks all of the individuals who participated in the survey and looks forward to input from residents in the 2022 Constituent Survey.
