Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages Celebrates Key Community Leaders at Ninth Annual Women of Distinction Ceremony

ON OCTOBER 20, 2022, Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages recognized eight individuals at her annual Women of the Distinction awards ceremony. The ceremony, now in its ninth year, was held in person for the first time since 2019. The event, held at the Franklin Square Public  Library–19 Lincoln Rd, Franklin Square, NY 11010–recognized eight women who have been exemplary leaders in the 22nd Assembly District. 

This year’s honorees are Lynette Battle, Elizabeth Forbes, Althea Brown, Julie K. Eason, Karen Freire, Rose Nacincik, Karleen Robinson, and Nancy Youngfert. Each of them has made a significant effort to effectuate positive change in their communities. 

“Tonight’s women of distinction ceremony is a chance to highlight all the grassroots work that is done in our district. I want tonight’s recipients to know that the effort they put into our community does not go unnoticed and that they are an inspiration to the women of the next generation, ” stated Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages.
