Assw. Michaelle C. Solages presented Certificates of Merit to four members of The Gift of Giving Foundation.
On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages celebrated the members of The Gift of Giving Foundation’s student ambassador program. Assw. Solages was awarding them for the outstanding work done by volunteering for different businesses and organizations throughout the community.
“The student ambassador program is a great opportunity for students to learn and discover avenues in life where they can find success. It shows them what is possible with hard work and passion while teaching them the importance of giving back to the community,” Stated Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages.
The program, which welcomes the high school students of the 22nd assembly district, is aimed at exposing pupils to the different career paths available to them in the future. In a typical cycle, the students volunteer with an array of shops and organizations in the community. The desired result is arming them with the skills they need to succeed in several sectors and showing them success in entrepreneurship.
Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages presented four Certificates of Merit to the students completing this term’s cycle. The member distributed the merits at the Guggin’s cafe, a locally-owned restaurant, where the students have also volunteered. Also present were the founders of Belimage.com, another local print store that participated in the ambassador program.
