Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages Greets New Labcorp Patient Service Center in Valley Stream

On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages welcomed a new
Labcorp facility to Valley Stream. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at 147 E. Merrick Road, Valley Stream, NY in an accessible area for the residents of the 22nd assembly district. The new patient service center will provide an array of services and help expedite diagnostic results to care providers.

The new facility will give residents local access to pediatric collections, routine lab work, and other services. This lab was greatly needed in our community and will result in shorter wait times, faster testing, and timely results for residents.

“Access to healthcare is a major priority of mine, and I will continue to advocate for it on behalf of my constituents. With this new facility, the residents of the 22nd Assembly District can have peace of mind knowing that they don’t need to wait longer or travel farther to seek healthcare services,” Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages.

Since the pandemic years ago, access to prompt testing and diagnostic services has been at the forefront of constituents’ minds. Early diagnosis and treatment can make all the difference in preventing illness. With the high demand for diagnostic services in several markets, this is one of fifteen facilities Labcorp anticipates opening in the NY Metro region throughout 2022.

“Our new patient service center in Valley Stream will provide expanded patient access to critical laboratory services across Nassau County,” said Alissa Farrier, vice-president of Labcorp’s NY Metro subdivision. “Labcorp is committed to the communities we serve here on Long Island and we are proud to be a trusted source for health answers for physicians and patients in the region.”
